Head News

Stuff for E’Studios News

What makes him jump out of bed? What is in the day ahead that gets him going? This artist, teacher and printmaker would start an online magazine in the field of printmaking—an as-yet untouched niche in online magazine domains for his personal alarm clock.

Wake up, everybody

It’s time to get a printmaking world magazine up online. What have we got for news today that is worthy of calling news?
Today, a man I shall call Ethan is adding another image to his asset database for his upcoming debut at Seattle’s famous Pike Street Market. Now that he has been accepted by the screening committee of the market, he has a full plate before him before he can “go public” with his show, “Market Busker Etcher,” with the Mini Etching Press to show how he makes his prints.
Also today, a man I shall call Ric, is starting in on the first orders of WeeWoodie Rembrandt presses. These are collector versions of the press—which is really a toy—that he and I have been developing for the past couple years. We meet off and on and share stories of our progress and work on the manufacturing of the press. We’re getting ready to make a run at producing a consumer version for the toy market.
The so-called user’s manual for the WeeWoodie Rembrandt Press is also coming along as I have decided to make it a comic book, appropriately designed to be entertaining and informative. I hope to make it the first of a series of “manguals” (combination of manga—Japanese for comic—and user manual). My girl-hero, Issy, will meet the ghosts of many artists who made fine art prints a reality.

E’studios

This stands for Electronic Studios and Art Gallery, the island of domains-of-expertise in the Great Lake of Emeralda Region. It is one of ten such islands in Emeralda Region, and the calendar Year of Living Copiously (YOLC) requires that the Emeralda Warrior travel the circuit of these ten islands continuously for 36 journeys.
Like the other nine in the PrintmakingWorld Online magazines, E’Studios has its own landing page—that which I wrote about yesterday (but did not post in my blog). The three items I described, news-style, above, are for the E’Studios ‘Zine and, in the full development of PrintmakingWorld Online, it’s the update of the existing magazine.
Every day (tomorrow it will be MacFast Magazine) presents a new quest for news, and added assets to manage and new elements of legacy to transfer to our subscribers.

This is what gets me out of bed!
